What is Staging?

Now, while most homeowners know they should declutter, the staging of a home is much more of a process. Have you ever walked through a model home and can immediately picture yourself, your family, and your friend lounging in the living room, or cooking in the kitchen…? I bet you left with a great impression of the home, everything was cozy, inviting, color coordinated, and, well…perfect!

According to a survey by Coldwell Banker Real Estate Corp., staged homes spent half the time on the market than non-staged homes and (get this!) sold for more than 6% above the asking price!

It’s no surprise that the more time a home spends on the market, the lower the selling price will be!  Also, spending half of the time on the market means less mortgage payments, and less maintenance costs while your home sits waiting for a buyer!
